The new trailer for Marvel and Netflix's Luke Cage packs a punch

One minute and thirty seconds. Give or take.

This, upon watching the first full length trailer for Luke Cage, is about all the time you will need before taking your diary, throwing it in a bin and admitting your social life is about to get a lot less social.

In the wake of the critically acclaimed first season of Narcos and offbeat thriller Stranger Things, Netflix is on a roll right now, and judging by this teaser - which sees the titular street-fighter-cum-superhero showcasing a set of skills Liam Neeson would be proud of - its hotstreak looks set to continue.

Matching the dark stylistics and rat-a-tat violence of Marvel’s Daredevil, with more one-liners to boot, Luke Cage is basically the hero your living room deserves.

Luke Cage airs on Netflix from 30 September
