It seems only yesterday (two years ago, thicky) we were congratulating the Beeb on their brilliant casting of the lovely Karen Gillan as the Doctor's companion Amy Pond.

But since Karen announced her departure at the end of last year, set to take place next series, Whovians (that's Doctor Who fans to you and I) have been desperate to find out who will take her place.

The wait is now finally over as former Emmerdale actress Jenna Louise Coleman was announced as KG's replacement today.

If you can't wait to see Jenna in action you can catch her in ITV's current series Titanic.
