The Afghanistan Office

If your knowledge of the Kabul comedy scene is a bit lacking, then don't fret as we're about to give you a heads-up on what to look out for.

It's been 10 years since The Office first came onto British TV screens (we celebrated it with Ricky Gervais recently) and since then there have been a number of international incarnations.

While the American remake might have been a bit more inevitable, you probably didn't see this Afghani take on the mockumentary show coming, did you?

The Ministry replaces a paper company with a ministry of garbage, with its fair share of resentful employees and tiresome politics. The trailer below shows us a tease of what's to come and it looks as if the show will actually tackle much deeper issues, such as government corruption.

Makes us feel so shallow now.

Those Kabul comedians are a bit slow on the uptake as the rest of the world have been imitating Brent for a while now. Here are some of the best Office remakes:

GERMANY
