Stallone in talks for Rambo TV series

Rambo was good wasn't it? No, not the ghastly 2008 mess. We mean First Blood, back in 1982 when Sylvester Stallone was the shy retiring type, capable of putting in performances that involved most of his facial muscles.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the original Gun Show himself is being linked with a Rambo TV series.

Television group Entertainment One and film company Nu Image have slated a co-development agreement to develop and produce a TV series based on Sly's Vietnam veteran. It's not clear yet as to what role Stallone will take in the series, but is being offered a "creative" role as well as the chance to don the red bandanna.

How an episodic Rambo would work is slightly beyond us. Perhaps it could revisit the younger John Rambo's tour of Vietnam in the form of flashbacks, while an older Rambo played by Sly could take on real-world adventures like learning how to use automated till machines and collecting his pension. We expect full credits for any subsequently related intellectual property.
