Lord Sugar hires ShortList

sugar.jpg

With privacy injunction whispers still hogging the front pages, it seems apt that here at ShortList we’ve been sitting on a sizable secret of our own. Thankfully there are no high-profile affairs or shady government cover-ups involved — just the terribly exciting news that we star in tonight's episode of The Apprentice.

Alongside our sister publication Stylist, we opened our doors to the team of our former guest editor Lord Sugar and the remaining crop of sharp-suited contestants for a magazine-making task. Having been sworn to complete secrecy, we can now reveal that we had the pleasure of being right at the heart of the BBC’s reality-show juggernaut.

Our offices were used as a base for the contestants, who were asked to come up with an idea for a ‘freemium’ magazine in the tradition of ShortList and design a few pages of it with the help of members of our team. They were then made to take out their work to impress potential advertisers and make some money for Lord Sugar.

We, of course, have been totally thrilled to be a part of the show, and to celebrate the event, we have something of an Apprentice takeover launching right here on ShortList.com. Click back for serious volumes of Apprentice content.

The Apprentice is on BBC One, Wednesdays at 9pm
