Is Ricky Gervais returning to the US office?

the_office.jpg

News has just emerged that the upcoming season of The Office will be the last and producers have promised that there will be some treats in store.

"All questions will be answered this year," claims executive producer Greg Daniels who also revealed that we will finally see who is behind the documentary.

Simultaneously, Ricky Gervais, the man what birthed the UK version, has suggested that David Brent might be crossing the Atlantic for another guest appearance. Early this morning, Gervais tweeted the following:

Now, it wouldn't be the first time that Brent made an appearance in the US show, as showcased in this brilliantly awkward clip. But what was he doing over in Scranton?

Could he be the guy behind the documentary? TWIST.

What do you think?
