Here's your first look at Doctor Who Series Nine

There's a lot going on here, and we're not going to pretend we understand all of it.

Peter Capaldi's Doctor looks severely sleep deprived, Jenna Coleman's Clara Oswald looks pleasantly malevolent and Maisie Williams has got us thoroughly confused. Apparently she'll be around for two episodes, with a deeply significant part to play.

Beyond that, there's Daleks, undead and what looks like a ruddy brilliant guitar solo.

We'll have to wait for the 19 September before any of it starts making sense.
