Get a load of the first stills from the new series of Black Mirror

Are you reading this on a computer? Or a mobile phone, perhaps? Maybe even a tablet? Frankly, you should turn it off immediately, because if Charlie Brooker's dark drama on the perils of digital decadence Black Mirror is to be believed, it's trying to kill you.

Whether your tech is trying to make you have sex with a pig on television, block everyone in your life from contacting you or just *change your job to 'Smegma Taster' on LinkedIn (and you have to do it (because it's the future), every digital advance in the world of Black Mirror hates you. And it's great. And it won an Emmy. And it's coming back for another series! On 21 October! Of this year! And they've just released some exclusive stills!

After two series and a Jon Hamm-heavy Christmas special on Channel 4, the next season will be making the leap to Netflix, with Brooker explaining:

"Netflix connects us with a global audience so that we can create bigger, stranger, more international and diverse stories than before, whilst maintaining that Black Mirror feel. I just hope none of these new story ideas come true."

The stills are taken from upcoming episodes 'San Junipero' and 'Nosedive' and boast the best-of-British acting talents of Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as all the usual ominous neon glows and captive smartphone users.

*NB: May not actually be a Black Mirror storyline.
