First trailer for Game of Thrones season 6

"They have no idea what's going to happen."

Such is the tone of HBO's first trailer for season six of its rollicking Song of Ice and Fire adaptation, Game of Thrones.

You'd be hard pressed to spot much new content in the 40 seconds of drama: a compilation of deaths, brutality and key sequences flashes before the eyes of a dying Jon Snow - a man we're betting will play some part in upcoming events.

Drink it in, become restless and ponder whether it's worth getting round to reading the books before we're back in Westeros in April.
