The first full trailer for the new HBO series from Damon Lindelof - co-creator of Lost - has premiered.

The Leftovers is adapted from the novel of the same name by Tom Perotta and, from the first look, has a lot of overtones of his previous, hugely successful, title. The 10-part series takes a look a suburban community in the aftermath of an apparent 'rapture' - the 2 and half minute trailer gives a good idea of what to expect.

It stars Christopher Eccleston, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Liv Tyler amongst others, and premieres in the US on Sunday June 29th, 10pm ET. A UK channel and tranmission date is, as yet, unconfirmed, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks.
