Everyone needs to sign this petition to get Snoop Dogg narrating Planet Earth

A perpetual worry in the UK is what on earth we're going to do when - and we're hoping this is a long way off yet - David Attenborough decides to call it a day.

Who is there with the necessary knowledge, gravitas and command of the English language to guide us through future nature documentaries?

Well, have no fear, as the answer is here in the form of a dogg - Snoop Dogg to be precise. When the below clips of Plizzanet Earth, originally broadcast as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live, resurfaced across the web, we all laughed. We all hit replay, and we all laughed again (especially at the bit with the mongoose). It was magical.

But we didn't see this coming.

Little did we know that the Gin and Juice singer's wise words would influence the human population to rise up, take action, and inspire many to make their voices heard. Yep, a petition to get the D-O-Double-G back in the commentary booth and narrating real episodes of Planet Earth is closing in on a huge 10,000 signatures.

Petition starter Kelly Ooton made this rousing comment to kick her human counterparts into action: "Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes. Sign the petition if you agree." Inspiring.

At the time of writing, the petition was only 1500 off its target. Get your name down by clicking here, and get another taste of what we could expect below.

It really would be the shiznit.
