Chris Eubank Has Been Getting Fooled By The Same Joke For The Last 18 Years

chriseubank.jpg

To be fair, it's the idea of a TV visionary; so ahead of its time that mere mortals couldn't be expected to understand its genius.

And it seems that, 18 years after it was first pitched, Chris Eubank still hasn't got his head round the idea that he will, without doubt, one day be presenting a program about Youth Hostelling.

During a classic episode of I'm Alan Partridge, originally broadcast back in 1997, a desperate Partridge was trying to convince BBC chief commissioning editor Tony Hayers to give him a second series of his chat show. When this failed, he resorted to inventing a host of ridiculous show titles which, terrifying, appear more likely to be made with every passing year. Indeed, Cooking In Prison has already become a reality - a 2012 Channel 4 show called Gordon Behind Bars saw celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay teaching inmates culinary skills.

However, in a series of tweets yesterday, it seems that despite nigh on two decades of comments, legendary British boxer Chris Eubank still can't work out why people are obsessed with him visiting the UK's youth hostels.

Well, at least it turned out good for him, even if he still can't quite understand the joke. Don't worry Chris, it's a show you're going to make eventually, just resign yourself to your inevitable fate.

In the meantime, ramp up your day with some Roachford, then vote for which Partridge TV show idea should be made next.
