Action-heavy debut trailer for Heroes Reborn

You know what TV needs? More heroes. Of the super variety.

That's what Tim Kring is banking on anyway. The creator of the hit super show that ran to four seasons between 2006 and 2010 believes that now is the right time to bring back his story of ordinary people with awesome abilities. Except there's no cheerleader this time.

Heroes Reborn is a 13 episode 'event series' (it won't keep on running, unless the money rolls in) that will reconnect with the themes and some of the characters of the original story. There's a new bad guy, an ominous eclipse and a welcome return of some familiar faces.

Set to air in the US on 24 September, there's no word yet on which UK broadcaster will be picking up the new series.
