Yeah, b*tch!

On the off chance you weren’t already counting the minutes until the second series of Better Call Saul (16 February on Netflix), Aaron Paul has just hinted that Jesse Pinkman might make an appearance in the Breaking Bad spin-off.

“Hopefully I will be involved. But I don’t know when that may be. I’m not going to say anything more. But I’m absolutely open to the idea. Hopefully it happens. I’m all about it”, the actor told Variety.

And when pushed if it would be this season: “Maybe [laughs] I don’t want to say anything. All I can say is I do know is there are some very exciting surprises coming up in the second season in Better Call Saul. So I highly, highly recommend watching the show.”

During the first season, which started Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill - AKA the man who would become Walter White’s shady lawyer Saul Goodman - we saw a few memorable faces from the Breaking Bad world - there was a cameo from Tuco the drug dealer, and then of course there was a far meatier role for ex-cop Mike Ehrmantraut, a fan favourite from the original series who we got to see forming something of an alliance with McGill towards the end of the first run - so now the producers are confident the spin-off has been a success in its own right, it could well be time to see the big guns come out.

It would certainly come at a pivotal time for the lawyer. Betrayed by his older brother Chuck and facing a bleak future staring as a two-bit defence attorney, will we see the return of Slippin’ Jimmy? How does Mike figure in his plans? And will Jesse be the one who knocks?
