The Adidas Predator Instinct

Ah the Predator - a football boot of such fearsome magnitude that even the fictional alien of the same name would be a fool to turn down a kick about in a pair.

Traditionally, the adidas boot has it all: unwavering accuracy, state-of-the-art fabric and a dose of on-pitch panache which has ensured it's remained a key fixture on the elite football scene since the heady days of David Beckham swinging one out against Diego Simeone at the 1998 World Cup.

Well now comes the latest evolution, the Predator Instinct, boasting a revolutionary control frame that allows for ultimate levels of grip, touch and ball control – perfect for aping those glue-on-the-boot runs from the likes of Mezut Ozil and Xavi, two stars who'll be kicking off the next season in the new boots.

It's also engineered with new hybridtouch material and an extra gel pad for comfort, an ideal match for a TPU outsole offering great flexibility, while the neat design stem from predatory creatures who use instincts to hunt their prey.

Whether that applies to a Central American jungle or muddy English Sunday League pitch is entirely up to you.

The boots will be available to purchase from tomorrow at all good adidas retailers and specialist stores; adidas.com/football
