Stars set to tee-off at unique golf day

vialli.png

Forget The Open: next week’s most entertaining golf will be found in leafy west London, rather than Royal St George’s.

The Leuka Mini Masters — which raises funds for the research and treatment of leukaemia — tees off on 15 July and will see the UK’s most famous part-time golfers going head to head for a great cause. Hosted by actor Dougray Scott, the contest pits teams of well-known putting enthusiasts against one another under the captaincy of James Nesbitt, former footballer Gianluca Vialli (pictured) and more.

ShortList.com will be there to report back on the action, and you can be too, by visiting the website below for tickets.

But there’s more to this day out than yelling, “Get in the hole!” Held at the Dukes Meadows Golf & Tennis Club, London, the Leuka Mini Masters combines a traditional golf tournament with a boutique music festival and garden party, with food and drink at hand and top tunes provided by Goldheart Assembly and James Walsh, among others.

Young Mr McIlroy doesn’t know what he’s missing…

Tickets priced £20 are on sale now at Seetickets.com; leukaminimasters.com
