The discussion of "too much money in football" rears its monotonous head with the opening of every transfer window. While big money can bring in big talent, free transfers present those less financially endowed teams the opportunity to nab some invaluable skill and experience.

Last week saw the clubs of the Premier League reveal the players that would be flopping onto the free transfers list. Former stars including Andre Arshavin and Florent Malouda feature amongst a multimillion pound bargain bucket of out of favour players.
