If there’s one thing we know about football, it’s that all diminutive playmakers must be described as ‘little magicians’. This is the law.

But while the likes of David Silva and Lionel Messi are able to trick opponents with a mazy dribble or conjure a chance with a dropped shoulder, we bet they’ve never made the ball levitate.

One chap in the Venezuelan Primera Division has…

After bagging the opener in Zamora FC’s recent match with Caracas, Cesar Martinez, who we now suspect is a fully paid up member of the magic circle, assembled his team-mates around him for a different sort of circle, picked up the ball and proceeded to make it hover in mid-air.

Trouble is, no one’s sure how on earth he did it. There doesn’t appear to be any camera chicanery or visible string used at all. Check it out yourself below.

Local owners of rabbits might want to watch out when he bags his next hat-trick.
