The ShortListen: Foals remixed by Lindstrom (no. 197)

Who? Foals, remixed by Lindstrom

What’s the story? Give It All was already one of the highlights of Foals' excellent fourth album What Went Down, but now it's been launched into the stratosphere, courtesy of this glorious remix by Norwegian producer Lindstrom. He's been putting out great music and remixes for well over a decade now, and the quality never seems to dip. Foals have always had a good groove, but this moves it into the electronic/deep house sphere with ease and, at nigh-on nine minutes long, there's plenty of room for it to breathe. Always developing, never boring - this is an utter masterclass in how to do a remix.

For fans of: Todd Terje, Fred Falke

In three words: Gloriously long remix
