What’s the story? Domestic violence is an issue that needs to be talked about more, with the shocking figures that 1 in 4 women, and 1 in 6 men will be affected by the issue in their lifetime. Therefore, this hard-hitting new video from up-and-coming Shrewsbury singer-songwriter Dan Owen is an important piece of work. The song, Made To Love You, was written from the personal experience of Dan supporting a friend suffering in an abusive relationship, with the lyrics touching on the conflict of emotions felt by one partner to another. The track, featuring Owen's full-blooded, soulful vocals, is taken from just his second EP, entitled Open Hands And Enemies, and will hopefully bring him to a wider audience. He's due to tour with Birdy in the near future: make sure you get there early to check him out - or head to his upcoming headline show at London's St Pancras Old Church on 7 September.
