Psy Has Broken YouTube's View Counter

PSY.jpg
Clearly not content with breaking the hips of elderly women eager to replicate his ‘horse riding dance’ at wedding parties across the globe, PSY has now gone and broken YouTube as well.

In a statement issued via Google+, the website has been forced to admit that the video for the Korean warbler’s mega hit Gangnam Style has effectively busted the site’s view counter, having been viewed more times and reaching more people than the site’s original developers had ever dreamt of.

'We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY. Gangnam Style has been viewed so many times we have to upgrade!’, read the announcement.

By racking up views in the billions, somewhere along the line it crossed the 32-bit integer mark. But not to worry - the problem has forced the bods over at YouTube into reprogramming the counter process so we’ll never face another dark day where we're unsure how many hits Psy has again.

See, Kim Kardashian? That’s how you break the internet.
