Pharrell's Anime-Inspired It Girl Video

Time to don your oversized hat and prepare for a seizure-filled anime trip - the video for Pharrell's It Girl has dropped and it's totally bonkers.

Produced by the hugely talented Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and directed by the equally colourful Mr. Fantasista Utamaro, the It Girl video is a sugar-fuelled tribute to all things Japanese - part anime, part dating game, part 8-bit fantasy.

Occasionally creepy and openly voyeuristic, we have absolutely no idea what's going on for the majority of its five minutes. Fingers crossed someone, somewhere is building a dolphin spaceship.
