Favourite movie soundtrack song

"Yello - Oh Yeah. I used to watch Ferris Bueller every week with my best friend when I was 10. This song closes that film, I used to wish I was Ferris Bueller, still do."

Favourite sad song

"'Til I Die - The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys were a pretty troubled bunch of guys, this song is so beautiful, but tinged with such sadness."

Favourite club anthem

"The Ones - Flawless. Bit odd after the Beach Boys, but a tune. The rap breakdown bit is one of my favourite moments in any song ever."

Favourite song that no one else has heard of

"Downside/Sloviegs Song - Blowzabella. Blowzabella are a folk group from England. I saw them live once as a child and some woman stepped her high heel into my foot. I was trying to dance at the time."

Favourite wedding song

"The Riddle - Nik Kershaw. I actually played this at my sister’s wedding, I was djing, the crowd went mental... in a yurt."

Favourite current song

"Worst Behaviour - Drake. This song makes me feel like a boss."

Favourite song from your childhood

"Real Gone Kid - Deacon Blue. Deacon blue are amazing, i remember hearing them in the background when I was young and seeing their videos on the chart show."

Favourite lyric from a song

"Something In The Way - Nirvana. "It's ok to eat fish because they don't have any feelings". It's so angsty it's actually quite funny."

Favourite one hit wonder

""Charles and Eddie - Would I Lie To You. It's still a pretty amazing song, it would work well at a wedding too I reckon."

Favourite song from your own music

"I'm Aquarius - Metronomy. It's from the new record so it's topical, but it's the type of song I've always dreamed of making and here it is."
