You've seen the images, now for a sneaky exclusive peek at the highly-anticipated new video for Johnny Marr's New Town Velocity.

Directed by David Barnes, and beautifully shot around various areas of Marr's native Manchester, including Wythenshawe, where he grew up, it fits seamlessly with the lyrical theme of the track: Marr leaving school aged 15 to pursue a life as a musician.

It wasn't a bad choice, all told.

If 38 seconds aren't enough for you - fear not, we'll have the full world exclusive at ShortList tomorrow (Wednesday July 16th) at 11am, so be sure to pop back then.

New Town Velocity is Released 22nd July
