If you don't like the Beach Boys, you're basically wrong. And if you've never got round to listening to the Beach Boys - well, now is your chance.

2nd September sees the release of The Beach Boys: Made in California - a six-CD collection celebrating the band's 50th anniversary, presented in a high school annual-inspired hardbound book. It chronologically charts the history of the group over seven and a half hours of music, with all the hits that you'd expect, plus over 60 unreleased gems from the archives, for those fans keen for new material. In addition, there's a host of great photos and memorabilia.

We've been lucky enough to get one of these previously unreleased tracks exclusively for ShortList readers - you can stream an alternate mix of It's OK using the player below. Written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love, it was originally a single in 1976, yet still sounds great today.

Make the summer last a little bit longer by having a listen right now.
