Arcade Fire are not averse to performing a cover version or two, and this time they took it right back in time. Literally.

At their show on Monday night in Edmonton, in their home country of Canada, they performed Huey Lewis and the News' track, Back In Time, which appears in the classic movie Back To The Future; specifically, it plays on the radio as Marty wakes up in his bed after his time in 1955, and additionally in the film's closing credits.

The band played it as a tribute to Michael J. Fox, who played Marty, and was born in the city. It continues their recent trend for performing songs relevant to the places that they're playing in. Hopefully they'll play a show in Stamford, Connecticut and whip out Power Of Love for Christopher Lloyd.

Watch a fan's recording of the performance below.
