New trailer is a belter
Once the height of gaming technology was a big yellow circle making smaller white circles disappear by moving over and “eating” them. Similarly, we were once bowled over when someone crammed 256 colours on the same screen. Following this through to its conclusion, you’d imagine we’ll one day look back on LA Noire’s facial mapping technology as quaint. But that day is a long way off. Right now, we’re blown away. So, ‘gamers of the future’, while you may mock our excitement, we’re not going to be embarrassed. Because nothing has come this close to recreating real human expressions before, either in a video game or on Dannii Minogue’s face.
