Pay attention, 007, there’s a new Bond film in the works out and we’d rather not aim a laser around your nether regions to find out about it.
Instead, at 11am UK time today you’ll find us glued to a live stream from Pinewood Studios, which all going well will give us the official title of Bond24, Sam Mendes’ next chapter in the Daniel Craig Bond series which is slated to start filming in December.
The announcement should also furnish us with details as to the so far furtive supporting cast. Grossing north of a billion dollars, the awards-laden Skyfall was successful enough to lure Mendes back to the directing chair, and he will have had a cumbersome list of A-list names keen to join the project.
Some of the biggest names said to already be attached to the film are Christoph Waltz, rumoured to be stepping into the shoes of classic Bond baddie Ernest Stravo Blofeld, potentially disguised as Franz Oberhauser, son of the late Hans Oberhauser, a ski instructor who acted as a father figure to 007; and Penelope Cruz as a Bond girl.
Report back here at 11am and keep your eyes peeled to the video below...
