Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy trailer

firth.png

It's a pretty grim time at the cinema right now. If you don't want to watch robots crashing into each other then you have to watch Cameron Diaz getting drunk with schoolkids.

As with most summers, it's all about looking forward. After Steven Spielberg unveiled his trailer for War Horse this week, another major contender for next year's Oscars has shown its spots.

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy assembles an impressive British cast (Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, John Hurt, Mark Strong etc) for an adaptation of John Le Carré's espionage thriller. Oh and it's directed by Tomas Alfredson, who brought us Let the Right One In.

As if all that wasn't proof enough of its potential brilliance, this moody teaser has us willing away the summer months until its September 16th release.
