These Animated Titles Were The Real Star Of The Oscars

Birdman.jpg

This year's ceremony may not have been up to much, but the visuals were awesome.

British-born graphic designer and film director Henry Hobson, Oscars co-producer Lee Lodge and animation studio Elastic collaborated to come up with 23 title sequences for the Awards.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Hobson said, "The Oscars is the celebration of film, but there’s also a degree in which we can celebrate and tell the story of the filmmakers’ journey through design."

Hobson, 33, is currently working on post production of his first major feature film, Maggie, which stars Abigail Breslin and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Take a look at the video below to see Hobson's design for the Best Picture titles.
