The second Ghostbusters trailer will restore your faith in the reboot

It's generally accepted now that the first trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot didn't exactly hit the spot.

In fact, it's one of the most disliked videos in the history of YouTube and, although a fair few of those were undoubtedly from the sexists out there who couldn't deal with an all-female version, it was also a fair verdict on a clip which really seemed to miss the mark - it even confused one of the stars of the film, Melissa McCarthy.

So we're pleased to report that the second trailer is a lot better.

There's some funny moments, there's a lot more pace to it, new footage of Chris Hemsworth, and there's even an appearance by our old friend Slimer.

If you've written it off already, then don't - have a watch above and see what you think.

Ghostbusters is in cinemas 15 July
