The Science of the Movie Screenplay

NICOLAS_CAGE_sse16604.jpg

Most of us would like to be in the movies; preserved in celluloid for ever-more. But, for others, they'd prefer to be behind the camera, creating the magic out of sight.

But even amongst the second lot, there's some serious competition to overcome: just how do you write a screenplay, how do you present it, and how do you get it looked at by someone important?

Fortunately, this excellent infographic, created by Cartridge Discount, is here to offer some invaluable tips on all those things, including the right sort of length for your opus, common storytelling pitfalls, and the exact formats demanded by American and UK-based production companies before they'll even look at the thing.

So read on and learn; and if you get lucky, make sure we get our 20% OK?
