The Rock's made a video taking the piss out of his role in 'The Scorpion King'

I’m not sure how I feel about this. The Scorpion King is one of my favourite movies – back in 2002, me and my mates all went to the cinema to see Bend It Like Beckham, and then at the last minute, one of my most intelligent mates and I decided to scrap that piece of shit and see The Scorprion King instead. Best decision I’ve ever made – it was amazing.

The first time The Rock played the Scorpion King was in The Mummy Returns the year before, and probably the less said about that the better, but he fully made up for it with this solo spin-off. Look, shut up, it’s really really good – swashbuckling action, great one-liners, sick haircuts galore and a bit where The Rock crushes ants with his chin. Perfect movie ingredients.

Anyway, The Rock himself, aka The Greatest Man That Has Ever Lived, has done one of those Rock Reacts videos, and this time he’s focused his attention (oh god, how much I would like that attention) on The Scorpion King. Only thing is, he’s making fun of it a bit. Don’t make fun of it, Rock, it’s peng. Don’t make fun of one of your pengest movies, it upsets me. Here’s the vid:

Thankfully, he doesn’t go too hard on it, because you know The Rock loves it really – it gave him his big break in Hollywood, and it’s gotta hold a special place in his heart for that reason alone. Also, as I’ve already mentioned, it’s genuinely good. I genuinely love it. Might go and watch it now, actually. Don’t tell my boss.
