The latest Star Trek trailer features a Rihanna song – and it actually (work, work, work) works

If you're still reeling from the Missy Elliot and Fall Out Boy collaboration for the new Ghostbusters theme, then we have the enterprising antidote for you.

The new trailer for Star Trek Beyond has just landed, and it features "Sledgehammer", Rihanna's original track for the movie. And guys, it really (work, work, work, work) works.

The trailer itself looks pretty damn exciting, though its notably missing any footage of Chekov, played by Anton Yelchin, who tragically passed away earlier this month. The main cast include stars such as Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Karl Urban.

Star Trek Beyond is out in cinemas on 22 July
