The First Movie Appearances of 10 Famous Actors

hanks1.jpg

Well, even the most famous people in the world started somewhere. When no one knew their name and they were just another young hopeful in a long line of wannabe stars.

Like listening to the early demos of albums that would go on to change the world, it's always interesting to see the first, tentative on-screen steps of people that we now know went on to go great things on the silver screen, and this excellent video, created by YouTube channel Movie Munchies, does just that.

It features 10 famous Hollywood stars in their first film roles; some came out all guns blazing - witness Cameron Diaz's famous entrance in 1994's The Mask - while others are rather more reserved, such as Tom Hanks' feature film debut in 1980's low-budget slasher movie He Knows You're Alone.

Watch below, and ask if you'd really have singled them out for fame based on their initial performances. We're certainly not sure a footballing Tom Cruise would've been our tip for the top.
