The Dictator trailer

While Bruno might be best forgotten about, there's no denying the Oscar-nominated brilliance of Borat.

Although many parts of the world were rather offended, the rest was genuinely amused.

Sacha Baron Cohen is hoping for a similar success with The Dictator, which sees him playing a tyrant "who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed."

It's apparently based on a book which was written by Saddam Hussein. Consider us intrigued.

You can see the first trailer below and the film will hit cinemas May 18th.
