It's one of the more promising horror remakes on the horizon and this longer look at the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's classic novel Carrie has increased our excitement by about tenfold.

Starring Chloe Moretz as the titular bullied girl with telekinetic powers and Julianne Moore, perfectly cast as her religious fanatic of a mother, the film tells the tale of what happens when Carrie is pushed to the very edge.

The new trailer covers familiar territory for fans of the original and promises to reimagine the bloody showdown with some terrifying efficiency.

Carrie hits cinemas in the US on October 18 UK on November 29
