Terrific First Trailer For Terminator Genisys

T4.jpg
Arnie really is a man of his word. A long time ago he said he’d be back, and - if we can all forget about the travesty that was Terminator 3 for a moment - he’s only gone and made good on his word.

With Hollywood currently rebooting, rehashing and reimagining pretty much all of our favourite childhood films, you might think the ‘Reset the future’ tagline of Terminator Genisys was some film studio marketing speak – well, from the looks of the first full trailer, it actually nods to something much cleverer than that.

In the trailer, we’re presented with a world in which the timeline from the first two films has been shaken up, giving us young (and CG) Arnie coming back to kill Sarah Connor – she must be sick of it by now – and, brilliantly, older Arnie, fighting on the side of the human rebellion.

Huge stunts, incredible effects, a real roster of acting talent (Jason Clarke, JK Simmons and Matt Smith also feature), and this new interesting plot device? Why it's enough to wish it were the middle of 2015 already.

Let’s hope Skynet doesn’t enslave mankind before the film’s released.

Terminator Genisys is out in cinemas from 1 July
