Star Wars Scenes Recreated on Microsoft Paintbrush
31 August 2014

Star Wars has inspired fierce loyalty, devotion and love since it first hit the big screen back in 1977.

And two brothers, Robert and James Dastoli, were two of the congregation of the faithful. In the run-up to the release of Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 1999, they lovingly created hundreds of pixelated Star Wars pictures using Microsoft Paintbrush on the Windows 3.1 operating system. Now, with Episode VII on the horizon, they've decided to start a Tumblr to share them with the world, revealing a 'new' picture every day.

There have been 27 so far, depicting scenes found in all the movies, plus the expanded universe of games, comics and spin-offs. We've picked our favourite 10 below; head to the Tumblr to see the lot, and keep looking back for a whole load more.
