Sienna Miller's starring role as the girlfriend of notorious Boston gangster Whitey Bulger (played by Johnny Depp) in Black Mass, has been completely cut, just weeks before it's due to be released.
Which, we'll be honest, is probably quite upsetting considering it's one of Depp's most anticipated movies in quite some times and already looking to be a box-office smash. Not to mention the amount of time that she apparently spent perfecting that Boston accent.
Speaking to The Boston Globe she said: "Up until the day before I flew here, I couldn't do it and it sounded stupid.
"I was sort of religiously watching every film ever set n South Boston: Good Will Hunting, Gone Baby Gone, The Town. Catherine [Grieg] had a thick accent, so I hope I do it justice."
I guess we'll never know now...
Director Scott Cooper confirmed his brutal cutting spree to the same newspaper although he insisted that it was nothing to do with Miller's performance and was due to "Narrative choices." Opting instead to focus on Bulger's life before he left Boston and met Miller's character Catherine Grieg.
