Seth MacFarlane on offending A-listers and whether he'd cancel The Simpsons

0.4.jpg

Wikipedia must be fast running out of data to chronicle Seth MacFarlane’s career.

Actor. Writer. Voice artist. Director. Singer. The man just doesn’t stop. One day we’ll find out he was a series of vaudeville androids and the ‘MacFarlane 3000’ model will transform the entertainment industry as we know it. For now, however, expect him to carry on making us all look inept, be it performing at the Royal Albert Hall, voicing characters on Family Guy or directing live action Hollywood comedies.

The latest of these being Ted 2 (released today), gross-out blockbuster slapstick sequel which once more pairs MacFarlane-voiced titular teddy bear with Mark Wahlberg’s Boston slacker. Yes, the Thunder Buddies are back and no A-lister is safe from their bolts of verbal lightning.

But as his own profile grows, does he ever get worried about offending A-listers? How’s his Morgan Freeman impression? And given there was a recent crossover between Family Guy and The Simpsons, does he think, as some fans do, the show should come to a dignified end?

Watch our chat with the man himself to find out.

Ted 2 is in cinemas from today
