In this week's magazine, we sat down with JJ Abrams to discuss his position as the current king of science fiction and while his Star Wars sequel is a long way off, his next Star Trek movie is very close indeed.

And now, with just months to go, we have a brand new trailer.

It showcases a lot more Benedict Cumberbatch, who takes lead villain duties and looks to be doing a rather awesome job at it. Plus there's things exploding, Alice Eve in her underwear and the horrifying news that London gets a proper hammering.

Star Trek Into Darkness hits cinemas on May 10
