Michael Shannon

On film, Michael Shannon is a scary man. It's why he was picked to play Superman's nemesis General Zod in this summer's Man of Steel.

In person however, Michael Shannon is a very nice man. Softly spoken and keen to dispel any assumptions you might have made about him, his bad guy persona is nowhere to be seen.

To promote the release of his new film, true crime thriller The Iceman, we sat down with him to discuss his surprisingly gentle character, why Man of Steel will impress us all and his even more surprising guilty pleasure...

The Iceman hits cinemas on Friday
