Star and director are Bourne again! According to Deadline, Matt Damon and Paul Greengrass are negotiating deals that will see them return to the Bourne franchise for the series’ fifth film.

The movie will be their first Bourne project together since 2007’s The Bourne Ultimatum (though they have since collaborated on the war thriller Green Zone).

Post-Ultimatum, the series has continued with The Bourne Legacy, starring Jeremy Renner in the lead role. A sequel to that film, directed by Justin Lin (Fast And The Furious), is still in production. Though scheduled for release in summer 2016, it will now be delayed, replaced instead by the new Damon/Greengrass movie.

Justin Lin will now have more time to work on the second season of True Detective, which he has just signed up to direct.

Not sure who’s going to break the news to Jeremy Renner, though. He’s quite a big bloke.
