Killing Them Softly Trailer

brad_pitt - killing_them_softly.jpg

We're making a dangerously optimistic assumption here but we're guessing that by the end of the year, Killing Them Softly might place rather highly on your best of 2012 list.

The crime thriller makes its case quite fantastically with this newly released trailer. It stars Brad Pitt as a "professional enforcer" who ends up investigating a heist that interrupts a mob-run poker game.

It's already been garnering some giddy reviews from Cannes with many critics comparing its combination of dark humour and gritty action to last year's Drive.

The film also stars Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini.

Watch the trailer below and let us know if you think it looks a bit awesome.

Killing Them Softly opens in cinemas on September 21st
