Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy

There are certain things you expect when interviewing a Hollywood star. And while discussing a script that "really resonated" is one of them, debating the best way to steal a shark definitely isn't.

Which is why our chat with Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy proved to be an unexpected delight. The playful double act, starring in hit US comedy Identity Thief, also managed to explain why the Oscar-nominated star of Bridesmaids will never be allowed anywhere near Arrested Development and what strange things they'd do if they swapped identities.

And the word resonated was never even used. An overwhelming success.

Identity Thief hits cinemas on March 22nd
