Inbetweeners movie remake planned

inbew.jpg

Okay so this is going to get a bit confusing. First let's start with the phenomenally successful E4 comedy The Inbetweeners.

After three massively popular seasons, the record-breaking movie was then released. This was followed by news that the show was going to be remade by MTV in the US, which you can see proof of right here.

The movie is also set to be released in the US in September but Paramount have just announced that they're putting together a remake. Confused much?

This remake will exist separately to the MTV series and will be "inspired" by the movie but still revolve around four teenagers going on holiday to an exotic locale with a similarly debauched tone. Interestingly, it's going to be penned and directed by Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, the original fathers of the show.

So what do you think? Overkill?
