Iconic Furniture From TV & Film

1.jpg
Tempting though it is, staggering out of IKEA with a flat-pack Iron Throne forged in Westeros wouldn’t be the most practical of purchases. Not even if they chucked in a free meatball sandwich.

Though of course that’s not the only piece of furniture of film and TV that audiences have become quite attached to, transcending the role of mere set prop and literal window dressing into something much more iconic.

Why some these have almost become as permanent a fixture as the characters themselves (think the tatty old sofa, and oddly always vacant, sofa down at Central Perk), or else have simply impressed with what little screen time they were given - you know who you are, egg chair in Men In Black.

So prepare to go gooey over fictional homeware once more, as fixtures specialists Oldrids.co.uk have assembled this handsome infographic which lists everything from the table sat around Doctor Strangelove to the armchair in which Morpheus peddled drugs in The Matrix - the handles possibly the second most wooden thing in that film after Keanu Reeves.

There are even a few factoids thrown in for good measure. It's suitably well-polished.
