Golden Globe Nominations

Better known as the slightly fluffier counterpart to the Oscars, the Golden Globes have announced their list of nominations for the 2012 ceremony.

The list has thrown up some definite, somewhat predictable, front-runners with the rather wonderful silent film The Artist leading the pack and Hugo, Moneyball, The Ides of March and Bridesmaids all scoring some key nominations

When it comes to TV, Modern Family, American Horror Story, Breaking Bad and Boardwalk Empire are in the lead.

The nominations for the major categories are as follows and the ceremony takes place on Sunday January 15th:
