First Trailer for Wikileaks Movie Fifth Estate


We saw the first image of Benedict Cumberbatch as the notorious Julian Assange back in January: now the first trailer for The Fifth Estate has arrived.

The Dreamworks-produced movie is based on two books about the Wikileaks operation, and is the second Assange film, after the release of We Steal Secrets: The Story of Wikileaks earlier this year, which was more of a documentary-style affair.

Playing Assange's partner Daniel Domscheit-Berg is Daniel Bruhl, and both he and Cumberbatch appear to have perfectly captured the mannerisms and speech of their characters.

While the overall feel of the trailer is very Hollywood, we're confident that the final film will be a hugely interesting exploration of a very controversial subject.

The Fifth Estate is released October 11th
